20th Annual John Owens Willow Glen Track and Field Invitational

In honor of the many dedicated years as head coach of Willow Glen High School's Track and Field team, the event has been renamed to the John Owens Willow Glen Track and Field Invitational and is being held this year on Saturday March 14, 2026.

The meet will be held on the outstanding track facility at Willow Glen High School, at 2001 Cottle Avenue, San Jose CA, 95125.

We will feature all levels of competition: Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, Frosh/Soph Boys, and Frosh/Soph Girls.

Please review starting block techniques, so races can run much smoother and save time.

Entry Fees

  • Registration begins Friday, February 6th, 10pm PST on athletic.net
  • Teams: $15 per relay team (Girls or Boys), maximum of $450 per school (includes both Boys and Girls teams).
  • Individuals: $5 per event
  • Entry fees can be paid prior to the invitational or at the entrance gate on meet day - see Payment below.

Entry Deadline

  • All entries must be submitted and received by Monday, March 9th, 11:59pm PST at athletic.net
    • Do not phone, fax or email entries to the meet director
  • No updates after the entry deadline
  • All coaches can verify their entries on Thursday, March 12th on athletic.net

  • Checks can be made payable to: Willow Glen High School
    • Please add Track and Field in the memo

Late Entries

  • Late Entries will only be allowed if there is room in an event without adding additional heats
  • Late entries are:
    • Relay: $25
    • Individuals: $20
  • Events will not be reseeded for late entries
  • Late entries may be entered into available lanes

Scratches

  • Scratches before the entry deadline can be done on athletic.net
  • Scratches after the deadline should be mailed to johnsport408@yahoo.com or blindemann@bcp.org.

    • T-Shirts (Long-Sleeve): $25
    • Performance Wear (Short-Sleeve): $30
    • Sweatshirts (Crew Neck): $35
    • Available for purchase at tables under the stadium stands
    • Cash and credit cards accepted

Admission

Adults: $6.00 (available online at GoFan)
Students: $3.00
Other: Merchandise and concession stand at event
